Big Sean & Chip Tha Ripper Live In Chicago

Two up-and-coming artists, on stage in Chicago. From what I heard about last night, it was crazy...period. With the Wiz Khalifa show, Big Sean performing, and countless other things happening around the city, Chi Town was slapping last night.

Here's a bit of footage from Big Sean performing crowd-favorite 'Supa Dupa Lemondae' and then Chip coming out and rocking 'Fat Raps' with him. Dope.

Also, there was a situation last night when a dude who was supposed to open up for Big Sean didn't get to, and he hopped on stage and grabbed the mic. What happens next is hilarious, watch this for the comic relief of the day...

DJ Ray's Podcasts

The homie @Djrayyadig has been doing his thing on the 1's and 2's for a minute now. Not only is he the official DJ for the big homie Ro Spit but he also is continuing to build on his brand/himself with these podcasts he's been dropping.

DJ Mo Beatz and DJ Ray are the only two DJ's who's podcasts I listen to on a consistent basis. And of course, they both rep that 313, so it's automatically a win for the city.

Anyway, give these podcasts a listen, they're too dope!!! But don't just take my word for it...click play...like...now...

I've heard mixed reviews about this movie but I recently had time to watch it and I must say I love it.

This movie is extremely creepy, it's actually a mixture between 'A Beautiful Mind', 'Gothika' and 'The Cell'. But it makes you think and I think that's why a lot of people don't like the movie. People don't want to have to think about things and actually use their left side of their brain with regards to things meant for pure entertainment.

Anyway, Leonardo was at his best in this movie; and if you know anything about movies, you know he's one helluva actor when he wants to be, and this is some of his best work...along with co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley and under the direction of Martin Scorcese, this movie was bound to be a winner. Check out the trailer.

Two of my favorite tracks off their respectable albums, with two of the best in the game when it comes to picking dope beats, creating dope videos, and providing dope visuals. So overall, both of these are just...well, dope.

Oh, and did you know that the producers of Mafia Music 2 are from none other than the state of Michigan?? Yeah, we're winning.

@Skighwalker sighting at the 0:11 mark. What's good homie??

Okay, anyway, these two getting together in the studio brings music to my ears, pun intended.

And if you haven't heard one of the tracks they've already cooked up, off Value Pack 4 (which if you don't have, you're lame), then here you go right here. Thank me later.

I've been blogging for well over a year now and I just want to tell you, the reader, thank you...I truly appreciate you.

A lot of times people never tell those that they appreciate that they appreciate them, so I wanted to take my time out to let you know I appreciate you for rocking with my blog, following me on Twitter, hitting me up on Facebook telling me you love the blog, fellas for using the playlist on top of my blog how it's supposed to be used, ladies for getting on my back when I stopped blogging, and everyone else that supports me and any of my endeavors.

I know I might be busy from time to time and I don't take the time out of my day to say thank you, but sincerely thank you. It's 2010 and only big moves will continue to be made and of course, you'll be the first to know about them.

Shouts to all the bloggers that rock with me and the ones I've inspired or the ones that have hit me up asking me for advice, that means the world to me, you have no idea!

Shouts to all the artists that hit me up for a consultation and to help plug them. I appreciate you guys because you understand that nowadays without us bloggers, you'll have next to no buzz. So keep shooting me tracks, keep asking me for advice, I'm always willing to help out the next person!

Shout to all of the international readers. I get views from the Netherlands, from Germany and even from Iraq. That means so much to me knowing that I'm able to reach those across the world!

Lastly, shouts to all those haters out there. You keep me relevant and without you, my name wouldn't be buzzing as much as it is now, so keep up the good job.

You Are Appreciated!

Mini-Playlist At 1:10

#fact: If you don't rock w/ this mini-playlist, or all the future ones I'll be releasing at 1:10 for you, you're losing, period.

Onto what made me create this one...I get from people all the time that I should create more playlists or that I should DJ from time to time, etc. Well, I wanted to release this first mini-playlist, of many, to kinda give you a feel of the current songs I'm listening to and feeling. There will probably never be an all hip-hop/rap playlist, so you'll get a range of genres. And what's wrong with broadening your horizons??

Anyway, if you don't rock with any of these next ten songs, I question your taste in music and your credibility.

My homie @TFletch81 dropped off his single, She Can Get It, earlier on in the week (last week). I'm late on posting it because he's late on sending me a pic, but all is forgiven because this track is a banger.

I said earlier, Michigan might be one of the worst States as far as the unemployment rate, how the recession has hit, and of course, the automotive industries' recent struggles...but when it comes to pure, raw, uncut talent, I don't think there is a state that can compete.

More on my rants and raves about Michigan and it's undiscovered and untapped talent/potential, let's focus on my homie TraVon's latest track to release. If you don't like it, you're pretty much lame. I need one of these artists from Detroit to hop on the remix...#justsaying.

@Wale's video to his song 'My Sweetie' directed by tabi Bonney.

This video is much appreciated. This is in response to all the hate he's been getting for the premier of 'Pretty Girls' and it's lack of dark-skinned women.

Let's be honest ladies, he created 'Shades' which is basically an anthem for those not light-skinned and he told everyone on Twitter that he couldn't help it no dark-skinned women came out to the casting call for the video. Sooo...

...anyway, rock w/ this song AND this video.
