Michael Kupperman, maybe the greatest cartoonist ever, released this book about 9 years ago. It's a timeless classic and truly genius. You can purchase it HERE from Amazon.
I saw this in the newest Entertainment Weekly magazine ('The Return of Project Runway' cover).

Well, we all know what Facebook's Honesty Box is. It's a way for cowards to man-up via a monitor, and women to let guys know how they really feel (well, those are just two of the ways it's utilized).
I get some really honest, real, and funny honesty box comments, here's a few...

I was tagged in a note on Facebook by a friend of mine. He's deep and a big fan of hip-hop....what he says speaks some truth and I felt like sharing it with you all...
'I’m a big fan of music; I like everything from Rock, to Jazz. Most of all I’ve always loved listening and mediating to hip hop music. The art form of the music is so dynamic and complex, yet it has a soothing nature.
Of late I haven’t felt this about hip hop and its current state. Everyone is talking about how much of a drug lord they are, or they’re speaking about all the things they do with their money. I don’t find any of that interesting, I need lyrics, what happened to the lyrics?
I really got into Hip Hop during the mid 90’s, the days of Method Man, Pac, Pun, Nas, etc. Their music wasn’t 100% positive, but they had talent, and their lyrics had content, everything didn’t sound the same. So what happened to the lyrics? What happened to the talent?
I think for the past few years everything became about gimmicks. Being a gimmick is nothing new to the music industry (remember MC hammer?). The problem now is that the music industry is overrun by gimmicks and wannabees.
I listen to these guys right now, and I don’t understand nor do I see the talent. This club music is not hip hop to me; these low riders and Rick Rosses just don’t cut it. Question I have is why are we supporting it?
These guys are teaching generations of black youths that it’s ok to sell drugs, it’s ok to make black woman look like sluts and call them bitches. Is this really what we want, yet we buy these guys albums and we continue to damage our society supporting these guys. Hip hop has not always been positive in the past, but it’s not only about being positive, it’s about having a mean or a message.
Let’s look at Jay-z, the guy never supported selling drugs, he never glorified it, yet he told us stories about things he went through during his days as a drug dealer. These other guys just glorify a life style and they do it with no talent.
When I hear Rick Ross, Camron, Soulja Boy, Slim Thug, Nelly, Chingy, Jim Jones etc I don’t think of them as Hip Hop. I do think some of the new artist like Kanye, Lupe and even Kid Cudi exemplified shades of what I remember in the past; the sweet days of lyrics and content. I don’t know about you guys but I miss those days.'

I was on Twitter lately and it struck me as one of my friend's posted one of his goals for the next 10 years...and it was to grace a select few of magazine's covers. Well, I then conjured back my response and said '10? What about in 7?' Well, here's the magazines (w/ their websites and a little description) that I'm pushing toward and being motivated to make their covers...

"Liphh Fly, born Brandon Cooper, 12 October 1986, Detroit, Michigan. This artist has been writing music since the age of 14. Ghostwriting for many local rap and pop artists, Liphh stayed behind the scene while he focused on business. He endured an itinerant childhood, living with his mother in various cities of Michigan before eventually ending up in Atlanta until the age of 21. His first official mixtape will be dropping sometime Spring 2009 which is more so the commercial side of Liphh. But the album according to Liphh will have a completely different side of music which has never been heard before with undeniable substance. His influences include artists such as 2pac, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Erykah Badu, Fall Out Boy, Andre 3K, Lil' Wayne and Coldplay. His determination to succeed was given a boost by prominent features in magazine's Unsigned Hype columns. Expected to release a single called "Shades On" feat. Peedi Crakk in the summer of 2009. All I can say is stay tuned..." - VIA
Needless to say, Liphh Fly is my dude. He's definitely on his grind and when you have someone that's talented, determined, focused, and on a serious grind...that equates to success. Get hip to dude ASAP!!!

One, if I'm your favorite blogger (which I just might be), than it's true what Cliff over at Cliff Notes says as his tagline, he's 'Your favorite blogger's favorite blogger.' Two, there's only a handful of bloggers from the Detroit-area (actually, Michigan as a whole) that are holding down dope and successful blogs...and you're looking at two of them. Three, us meeting was long overdue. And four, this dude honestly is just a certified champion.

Product Discription (via Amazon): Are you ready to glow in the dark? Crash landed alone on an unknown planet for the entirety of his Glow in the Dark set with huge space scapes behind him, Kanye West takes you on a musical and visual odyssey that no antihero has taken you on before. This deluxe volume represents another leg of that voyage, giving you a gorgeous photographic ride through West’s life, both on and offstage, as well as into the intimate technologies of his creative process with top visual artists of today. The instrumentals are tracks from his set remastered to echo John Williams’s famous score ("Jesus Walks" is Vader’s theme). In personal sketches and reference imagery, 3-D models of the holodeck-ian stage, and costume designs (including his Grace Jones–inspired outfits for opening act Rihanna), West once again expands a medium and triumphs in the artist’s epic struggle to be creative. With a CD including previously unreleased instrumentals from the show as well as an interview with tour collaborator Spike Jonze, the book is not only a memento of one of the most successful musical performances of the year, but it is also an experience all its own.

I know I'm late posting these first two videos but I just got reminded of them via Twitter. Well, based on the information about this video via their YouTube...
"This video was filmed in one take, with audio being recorded simultaneously with the film. The video features Nyle and is produced by Last Pictures and 194 Recordings (www.myspace.com/194recordings)"
...this is too dope!!!
Nyle - Let The Beat Build
This second one is an older video that never got released but then the homie Yeezy said he might as well just release it for us. BTW, I've always loved this song!
"This video never got played because I refused to remove the titles on it. They said people will think a TV show is going off and I said that's the whole point. Wow... even only 3 videos in to the game.... I refused to compromise my vision." - Kanye West
Kanye West ft. Mos Def & Freeway - Two Words
I'm actually a fan of Bobby Valentino. He's been mostly consistent his whole career and hasn't been over-the-top or under-achieving IMO. Well, here's his new video to two tracks that I rocked with off his album The Rebirth.

XXLmag.com has posted a letter sent to them by Louis Vuitton regarding Rick Ross on the cover of the magazine May edition. All I can do is smh at this:
Dear Editor:
We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.
The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct the confusion.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Pantalony, Esq.

I know it's an older movie, but I've fallen back in love with it recently. Below is the trailer for it and a few HILARIOUS quotes from the movie via IMDB.
Hank Evans: You know, I think you're a very special unit.
Irene P. Waters: That's sweet.
Hank Evans: I hope we get to know each other better.
Irene P. Waters: Yeah, me too.
Hank Evans: Do you swallow?
Irene P. Waters: Stay away from me, Hank! I know what you have planned, OK? I saw your so-called "supplies."
Hank Evans: Oh... that! I wasn't gonna just... ram it home, you know. I was gonna... lube it up and ease it in there, inch by inch, like a gentleman.
Irene P. Waters: I was talking about the shovel and the lime.
Hank Evans: Vagiclean," huh? What's the matter, honey? Little extra cheese on the taco?
Mrs. Bittman: Excuse me?
Hank Evans: No, excuse me. There's no tag on this.
[grabs microphone]
Hank Evans: Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. She's baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

I've been rocking with this track for a minute now, and the scenery is dope in this vid.
Rick Ross ft. The-Dream - All I Really Want
I played this song accidentally in my car once, haven't played it since. You do the math.
Slim ft. Ron Browz & Deezo - Heels On
Two tatted up chicks right here. iCandy for sure, but I'm not a huge Keyshia Cole fan in terms of her music so it's blah to me.
Keyshia Cole ft. Monica - Trust
Can't wait for Relapse, long time over due Em, long time.
Eminem - Crack A Bottle
Yung Berg, put on a shirt my dude. And is this supposed to be 'The Business Part. 2?"
Yung Berg - Festyville

Since the kid One Ten is already inked up, and looking to get more (of course, still keeping it professional and clean -- ie. no tats on my neck, wrist, etc.), it's only right that I bang out with this. Plus it's the homie Wiz Khalifa, and the track is dope!!!
BTW, follow Wiz on Twitter HERE for exclusives like this and continue to follow me, One Ten, on Twitter HERE!!!

I don't think it's still to where you put T-Pain on the track and automatically have a hit...so this is a fail. But the sample is uber dope!!
Lil' Kim ft. Charlie Wilson & T-Pain - Download
I was singing this song all throughout my school's recent graduation, so it's pleasant to see a video for it.
Page feat. Drake - I'm Still Fly
I don't think Teairra Mari will ever blow. Sorry. Could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I don't see her competing with the likes of Beyonce, Ciara, etc.
Teairra Mari feat. Flo-Rida - Cause A Scene
